Welcome to the Royal Gibraltar Regiment’s website. Whether you are thinking of working with us or simply interested in finding out more about us I’m sure you’ll find this site engaging and informative.
In these pages you’ll find an overview of the work that we do and the history of how the Regiment and its parent units arrived at where we are today. The most significant change for us in recent years has been our re-roling in 1991 from a mainly artillery unit into a modern light role infantry Battalion. Since then, by the hard work and enthusiasm of our soldiers, we have made a name for ourselves throughout the wider Army as a committed, professional and capable Regiment.
We now have troops throughout the year working in all the world’s trouble spots, side by side with other infantry regiments. The next few years present the Regiment with the challenge of continuing this tempo of operations while expanding its structure and taking on more varied tasks.
This website has much to offer young people who may be looking for a rewarding job, different from any they might find in another workplace.
